Today, many people know and love Sarah Kalafian and her husband, Michael, and have been deeply impacted by their marriage. Sarah is a gifted Bible teacher, Michael is a physician, and together they have three adult daughters.
But as a young college student, Sarah was convinced her purpose in life was to become a medical missionary and live a life serving people in Africa as a nurse. When she met Michael, who was called to be a physician but not a “missionary in Africa,” she was torn about her budding romantic relationship with Michael and sought the counsel of an older, wiser woman who had, “been there and done that.”
